We are delighted to welcome Emma Partlow to the National Centre for Accessible Transport (ncat) today as she joins us to be our new Chief Executive Officer.

“I am honoured to join ncat as Chief Executive Officer. It is a privilege to step into a role within an organisation that has already built a strong foundation of evidence, insight, and lived-experience led research that is shaping conversations about accessible transport.

ncat has a vital role to play in driving system-wide change, ensuring disabled people remain at the centre of our work. My focus will be on supporting industry stakeholders to use ncat’s insights to guide planning and decision-making, strengthening collaboration with our partners, and championing innovative, evidence-grounded solutions that deliver measurable impact.

I look forward to connecting with industry leaders, operators, policymakers, researchers, and advocates, as we continue working together through providing evidence and enabling stakeholders to remove barriers and improve journeys for disabled people.

If our work aligns, or should, I would welcome a conversation, please do reach out at ceo@ncat.uk

Please join us in giving Emma a warm welcome as she joins the ncat team. We look forward to this next chapter under her leadership.
