Policy and Regulation Roadmap

What is this project about?

The purpose of this project is to bring together disabled people, policy experts and transport professionals to understand the key policy and regulatory issues affecting disabled people’s access to transport across the UK.

In addition to producing a series of policy recommendations for policy makers in the UK and devolved governments.

Tables arranged in a large semi circle with 18 chairs behind one side. Half the chairs are empty but nine are filled with a mix of men and women wearing office clothing. They are facing one small single table behind which one man is sitting. Behind all the tables are empty seats in lecture hall style.

What do we want this project to do?

We will focus on producing a policy commission report, setting out a road map for policy shaping activities for the commission and the wider ncat, and developing formal recommendations for the UK and devolved governments.

How will we carry out the project?

We will conduct roundtable discussions of policy across England, Wales, Scotland and N.Ireland, in addition to one on UK wide regulations.

We will also open a call for evidence from policy professionals.

What have we done so far?

The roundtables across the UK have been completed as has the call for evidence.

We are now producing the reports and the roadmap for publication.
